Johann Baptist Homann (1663-1724) was a German engraver and publisher, who established himself and his family as perhaps the most famous German map publishers. Following his death in 1724, the business continued under the name Homann Heirs .
This Homann map is finely engraved, and in color with an attractive cartouche. There is an enormous amount of detail within the map area
Condition: B+ due to contemporary vellum binding (12.6 x 8.3 inches) with 21 folded maps, numbered by hand on verso, so a few maps are missing. book block separated from binding, Maps browned, some with tears, Sod as a collection of maps
